10 Ships in Seribu Islands will Operate Soon

Benyamin Bukit, Head of Jakarta Communications and Transportations Department stated around 2 out of 12 ships owned by Transportation Department are experiencing technical problem. However, the rest 10 ships are still in maintenance process or docking

The ships are not stalled, they are just being maintained as the ministry obligated to do it every year. After that, we will operate them

After the maintenance is done, those 10 ships will operate to serve citizens and tourists to go to the Seribu Islands. 

"The ships are not stalled, they are just being maintained as the ministry obligated to do it every year. After that, we will operate them," said Bukit, Thursday (4/9). 

Seribu Islands Targeted Becoming World-Wide Tourist Destination

He claimed, his party has a lot of obstacles in the field, including fuel provision. 

"The other obstacle is unavailable fuel and the governor also has given solution on this matter by disbursing the budget," he uttered. 

Currently, the Seribu Islands Regency is much need the transportation modes in accordance with tourists where its number continues to increase every month.

At this time, there are 38 traditional ships operating in the dock of Muara Angke pier.
